A broad view of the complexities of architectural design including issues related to research, programming, context, site, spatial organization, structure, environmental systems and tectonics. Students will assimilate these issues through design, addressing verbal, writing, graphic and critical thinking skills.

This semester will focus on the event SPACE and event EDGE. Architecture entails both space and edge conditions of which this semester will deal with both from various scales ranging from edge (coast), city (context), event (regatta), machine yacht), space (park/building), and subject (patron).
